The first bar of our CNY series - Black Sesame is a hint to the traditional Tong Yuen dessert, a sweet black sesame caramel with a hint of cured tangerine peel (chenpi) to round off the flavour.
Ingredients: cacao beans, cane sugar, sesame, cured tangerine, salt
Store in a cool dry place away from the light. Ideal temperature is 12-20 degrees. If some spots or a white film appear on the bar, it is not mold, it is simply the cacao butter that comes at the surface of the bar due to changes in temperature and/or humidity. It is still perfectly delicious to eat.
